The back patio at the New River, AZ home had settled and was unlevel. The settlement was treated by injecting a lightweight expansive polyurethane (PolyLEVEL) to fill existing voids and lift the concrete slab.
The Homeowners of this family home were concerned about some space gaps between the wall and the floor. Since the space gab started getting bigger and bigger, the Owners decided to take action on the matter. After some research, the Homeowners decided to call the experts, and that is when Arizona Foundation Solutions came to the rescue.
Settlement problems happen when the house gets constructed over expansive soils, which in most cases it is clay soil. This house was a victim of a terrible foundation problem which seems to be a settlement. When clay soil does not get enough moisture exposure, it tends to shrink, which causes the floor to sink in. After realizing the problem was only getting worse, and it was affecting more areas of the house, the Homeowners decided to call for help and opted for calling Arizona Foundation Solutions.
The foundation slab of this historic Phoenix home can be repaired by injecting a lightweight expansive polyurethane to fill existing voids and lift the floor slab - also known as PolyLevel.
This is done by drilling small 3/8” holes in the slab after which polyurethane grout is injected directly under the slab to raise it up to its Highest Practical Maximum.
