This Phoenix home's stem was showing serious sign of stem failure. The concrete was weakened by the rebar inside oxidzing. Fortunalty we have a solution, our patented NeveRust® non-ferrous composite. The NeveRust® system uses a composite material that is non-corroding. While replacement rebars often fail when they oxidize, this isn't a problem with the NeveRust® system.

Fast & Effective Concrete Lifting & Leveling

Concrete used for walkways and driveways looks great when it is new but over time the concrete slab will eventually start to shift as the ground does. The result can look disastrous and can create a dangerous tripping hazard as well. This far cry from the originally smoothly poured concrete often leads to frustration. If you have had a similar experience with your home know that you're not alone and that you are in the right place. Our experienced crews have the knowledge and experience when it comes to the application of a revolutionary product called PolyLevel that is capable of lifting, leveling, and stabilizing concrete slabs. The process for concrete lifting and leveling begins by drilling a few small holes in the slab and then pouring the PolyLevel polymer into the hole. The polymer will mix and expand beneath the slab, raising it to the desired height and stabilizing it in the process. PolyLevel only takes about 15 minutes to dry and the product is environmentally friendly. To learn more about our concrete lifting and leveling solutions call or click today!

Crawl Space Encapsulation & Repair

Crawl spaces are prone to moisture, mold, insects, and rodent problems. Crawl space encapsulation is always a good idea because your home might otherwise be at risk of a host of moisture-related problems. In fact, crawl space moisture can affect the flooring, drywall, and insulation in the upper levels of your home. Sealing the crawl space not only prevents mold and mildew but creates a storage area and contributes to better overall home comfort and energy efficiency. Our trained crawl space repair professionals transform crawl spaces by combining effective waterproofing methods with a durable moisture barrier, effective air sealing, and high-performance insulation. The crawl space encapsulation process usually involves four steps: fix water seepage, isolate the house from the earth, seal outside air out, and dehumidify. We're long-time installers of the CleanSpace system, a transformative solution that includes an effective 20-mil thick, cord-reinforced moisture barrier that’s durable enough to withstand foot traffic - it can last as long as the house! To fix floors over the crawl space that have sagged due to moisture damage, foundation jacks can be placed to lift and stabilize beams and floor joists in the crawl space. With no mold, rot, or energy penalties, and fewer bugs and pests, a home with CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation is less expensive to own! To learn more about the benefits of our crawl space encapsulation solutions, contact Arizona Foundation Solutions, your expert Phoenix crawl space repair contractor today! We offer free crawl space inspections and repair estimates.

Reliable & Cost-Effective Stem Wall Repair in Phoenix

Stem walls are supporting walls that join the foundation to the vertical walls of the house. Stem wall foundations are often reinforced with rebar. A rebar is a steel bar used to reinforce concrete foundations, slabs, and walls to help strengthen them under tension. When a stem wall starts to crack, this signals a possible problem in the rebar, often oxidation. Concrete foundations with rusting or exposed rebar can crack and cause serious structural problems and leaks in basement walls or crawl spaces. NeveRust™ is a reliable, cost-effective stem wall repair solution that uses a composite material that won’t corrode. NeveRust™ stem wall repair not only restores the safety of cracked reinforced concrete foundations but also prevents the oxidization that caused the cracks in the first place. NeveRust™ stem wall repair is available exclusively from Arizona Foundation Solutions and is backed by a lifetime transferable warranty against rust. Learn more about the benefits of our stem wall repair solution by scheduling a free initial inspection and cost estimate.

Underpinning System in Phoenix, AZ

A family in Phoenix, Arizona, had settlement issues in multiple areas of their home, including the patio and garage. The walls, ceiling, and floors had all cracked. To find a quick and efficient solution, they researched and found professional help. Our foundation inspectors recommended a second inspection by engineers, who analyzed topographic maps to create a tailored solution for the house's needs. Multiple piers were installed throughout the house to provide full foundation support. After a few days of hard work, all the piers were installed, making the foundation stronger than ever. The homeowners were satisfied and happy that their goals were met on time.

MoistureLevel System in Phoenix, AZ

Expansive soil can turn into a serious problem for a house structure. Most Arizona homes in the valley got built over the clay, which is a high water retainer. The main problem with this type of soil is that it changes its volume based on how much water exposure it gets. This family, down in Phoenix, Arizona, noticed the floor began to crack along with the walls and even the ceiling. After doing some research, the homeowners decided to get an expert on the matter for a professional opinion. A foundation heave remediation got proposed, and the family accepted. Our foundation repair crew cut and dug a hole in the most affected area to insert a moisture sensor later in the process. PVC pipes get installed beneath the house's foundation to blow hot air and eventually evaporate the excess moisture, which was the one causing the foundation problem. Another crucial component of the system is the moisture vacuum because this is the one that pulls all the moisture particles out of the soil and drives them to the house exterior. Thanks to Arizona Foundation Solutions, this family will no longer have to worry about foundation heave problems ever again.

Our team took the results to the engineering department and came up with the most efficient solution for these homeowners. PolyLevel: Concrete Lifting at Phoenix, AZ

Situation: This family, down in Phoenix, AZ, was facing some issues with foundation settlement in their patio, which caused a tripping hazard. After some research, the homeowner noticed the problem could get fixed faster than expected. Once one of our AZFS inspectors got to the place, she knew exactly what was going on, and she offered the PolyLevel Serice to lift the concrete slab back to its original position.

Challenge: The major challenge in this concrete lifting project was to choose evenly each location where the foam material was going to get injected. The other important factor was to wait and listen to how the foam material was expanding to determine how much more material was needed to get injected into the concrete slab. Additionally, the team had to ensure that the injection points were not too close to each other to avoid any potential damage to the concrete slab.

Solution: Once each location got located, our concrete experts drilled holes and started injecting the foam material. After waiting up to 15 minutes for the material to fully expand, our team determined if more material needed to get injected. The concrete slab got successfully lifted, and the tripping hazard was gone sooner than expected.

Conclusion: Finally, they had to make sure that the concrete slab was properly levelled after the foam material had been injected. The customer was very pleased with the work and thanked our team for the quick and professional service. This was a great way to start the day and show that no job is too big or too small for our team.

Concrete Repair in Stem Wall down in Phoenix, AZ

Situation: This family, down in Phoenix, AZ, was facing some serious foundation issues all over the house's stem wall. The stem wall was cracking in all directions and needed repair as soon as possible. In some areas, the rebar got visible because most of the concrete in that area was gone.

Challenges: The main challenge was to determine what components could have been reused and which ones our crew needed to get rid of. We had to take into consideration the type of material used, the age of the component, and any other factors that may affect its viability for reuse.

Solution: The rusted stem wall components got removed along with the damaged concrete. Thanks to the AZFS service called NeveRust, the concrete expert team was able to replace all the components with anti-rust materials. The new components are also designed to better hold up against moisture and weathering. The team also replaced the damaged concrete with new concrete.

Conclusion: The stem wall got completely repaired, and the corrosion elements got removed. Thanks to AZFS, the stem wall will no longer produce corrosion, and the family will have peace of mind.

Arizona Foundation Solutions Awarded Soil Vapor Extraction Job

Benzene off-gassing vapors were discovered in a multi-family housing project in Phoenix, Arizona.  153 Duplexes are being renovated from military to private housing.  The benzene solvent was used by the Army at this location many years ago and polluted the soil.  The buildings are now pulling in benzene vapor above an acceptable level for residents. The environmental firm that is overseeing this project advised the general contractor to utilize a Radon Mitigation company to install Soil Vapor Extraction systems (radon mitigation systems) to safely remove the soil vapor.  That is when the National Radon Defense dealer Arizona Foundation Solutions got involved.

Bob Brown, Brent McIver, and Terry Henry from Arizona Foundation Solutions won this business due to their knowledge about this process they learned from National Radon Defense and their outstanding reputation.  Our network is actively doing projects similar to this across North America.  The General Contractor was very comfortable with a local company with national resources for this type of project.

In May, Arizona Foundation Solutions will begin installing Active Soil Vapor Depressurization systems to vent the harmful gas.  The process is very similar to installing a radon mitigation system. To learn more about Soil Vapor Extraction services visit the Resource Center and review the "Citizen's Guide to Vapor Intrusion Mitigation" and "Soil Vapor Intrusion - Educational Presentation".

Congratulations Bob, Brent, and Terry on that great job!
