Here you can see how big the crack was before we did the stitch and how you can't even tell the crack was there when we were done.
The slab of this Winslow, AZ home had a few concrete slab cracks. The areas were repaired using a method called concrete crack stitching.
Once the concrete repair is complete, it is difficult to tell there was even a repair made. Arizona Foundation Solutions is knowns as one of the best concrete contractors in Winslow, Arizona.
An area of the Homeowner's front walk way was settling, which is very common in this area. With the technology of PolyLevel, we were able to bring the sidewalk back up to a level position.
The stem wall of the Tucson, AZ home was showing signs of failure. Stem walls crack, spall, and flake when the rebar inside becomes oxidized which weakens the concrete. Our stem wall repair crew cut out the existing rebar and replaced it with our non-ferrous composite.
Composite interlocking can be performed to tie the broken pieces of the concrete together. The existing cracks will be cleaned and non-parallel lines will be cut across the existing cracks. Next carbon fiber laminate stitches will be inserted into the non-parallel cuts and then the gaps will be filled with a 2 part poly.
Finally, the crack should be ground smooth to minimize the differential. If done properly, this will allow the slab to function as one floating unit to help prevent the damages to flooring, ceiling and walls. If this is instead expansion joint separation, the joint should be cleaned, routed, and re-caulked with an expansive joint filler.
