The homeowners in Phoenix were facing a significant issue with their home's foundation. They noticed horizontal cracks forming on the exterior foundation walls, a common problem resulting from the oxidation of rebar within the concrete stem walls. This oxidation process causes the rebar to expand, leading to spalling and splitting of the concrete. Left unattended, these cracks could compromise the structural integrity of the home.
The homeowners were concerned about the escalating damage and sought a solution that would not only address the current cracks but also prevent future ones. They reached out to Arizona Foundation Solutions, renowned for their expertise in stem wall repairs across Phoenix, Tucson, and Tempe, to evaluate the problem and propose a lasting solution.
Project Evaluation
Design Specialist Greg conducted a thorough inspection of the property, identifying the primary issue as the oxidation of rebar due to moisture ingress. Traditional repair methods, such as patching, epoxy injections, and standard rebar replacement, were discussed. However, these methods were deemed temporary fixes, as they often fail to prevent further oxidation and cracking over time.
After the Project
Arizona Foundation Solutions implemented their innovative Concrete Stem Wall Repair System using the Heavy Concrete Stem Wall Patch. This system is specifically designed to address the root cause of stem wall failures, providing a reliable and cost-effective solution for residential properties.
Key Benefits of the Repair System:
Longevity: Unlike traditional methods, the system prevents future oxidation and cracking, ensuring the durability and safety of the building for years to come.
Cost-Effective: The system offers a more affordable solution compared to industrial methods like electrical cathodic protection systems, which are costly and impractical for residential use.
Proven Results: The system has been successfully applied in numerous homes across Phoenix, Mesa, Gilbert, and nearby areas, delivering consistent and reliable outcomes.
The project concluded with a satisfied homeowner, confident in the longevity and stability of their foundation. Arizona Foundation Solutions' commitment to quality and innovation was evident throughout the process, from the initial assessment by Design Specialist Greg to the skilled execution overseen by Foreman John.

In Phoenix, Arizona, a homeowner was facing a significant issue with their garage floor. Over time, cracks had developed in the concrete, creating an unsightly and unsafe environment. These cracks allowed moisture to seep beneath the slab, causing the underlying soil to soften or wash away. This led to further sinking and cracking of the concrete. The homeowner reached out to Arizona Foundation Solutions for help.
Eli, our experienced Design Specialist, assessed the garage floor and recommended sealing the cracks and joints using NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant known for its long-lasting flexibility and durability. Nevaeh, our efficient Customer Care Representative, promptly scheduled the appointment, and Anthony, our skilled Foreman, oversaw the project to ensure flawless execution.
Under Anthony's meticulous supervision, the team began by drilling, smoothing, and preparing the cracks with non-absorbent backer rod filler. The NexusPro sealant was then expertly applied to the prepared cracks and control joints. The final step involved detailing the sealed cracks with a thin layer of native sand, giving the garage floor a uniform and polished look.
The use of NexusPro brought several advantages to this project:
The sealant's resistance to UV rays ensures it won't crack, bubble, or dry out.
It remains flexible and durable even under extreme temperatures.
Quick curing time of just 60 minutes allowed the homeowner to use their garage again shortly after the repair.
The homeowner was thrilled with the results. The garage floor was not only aesthetically restored but also protected from future damage caused by soil compaction and washout. This successful project in Phoenix, Arizona, highlights the effectiveness of NexusPro in concrete crack repair, providing a long-lasting solution to a common problem.
